What do I need to continue using the Mothership app?

Here's what you need to remain eligible for loads.

Big news: We're rolling out a new version of our app! In the new version, we require information to help us ensure 1) our carriers are compliant with transportation guidelines and regulations and 2) we're offering the best loads based on your equipment and location. Please update your information as soon as possible to avoid any potential delays.

Individual carriers

Registration requirements

We’ll need both your DOT# and MC#. If you need to apply for an MC#, you can do so here. We’ll collect these in our new app before you can start accepting loads.

Please note: it can take six weeks to get a DOT#, so please register as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Insurance requirements

Mothership needs to be named a certificate holder on your insurance. Please get in touch with your insurance provider and be ready to submit an updated copy.

  • Note that coverage needs to be at least $1M in auto liability and $100K in cargo liability.

Carrier organizations

Registration requirements

We’ll need both your organization’s DOT# and MC#. If you need to apply for an MC#, you can do so here. We’ll collect these in our new app before you can start accepting loads.

The number of drivers associated with your Mothership account needs to be equal to or less than the number of carriers shown on your DOT registration. 

Insurance requirements

Mothership needs to be named a certificate holder on your insurance. Please get in touch with your insurance provider and be ready to submit an updated copy. 

Please note:

  • Coverage must require a minimum of $1M in auto liability and $100K in cargo liability.
  • If you have more drivers on our app than are registered with DOT, we’ll have to suspend your account for review.

The number of drivers and vehicles associated with your account must be equal to or less than the number covered by your insurance policy.
