Everything you need to know to successfully schedule delivery appointments.
Setting a delivery appointment
In-network (FTL or local zone shipments):
When quoting, please select "Appointment" in the "Liftgate or others (optional)" dropdown at the time of booking within the "deliver to" section of the site (see image below) and a member of the Mothership scheduling team will set and coordinate the delivery details with the receiver.
Please include the contact information of the delivery location and valid PO/reference numbers when booking to ensure proper appointment setting for delivery.
If you previously set a delivery appointment with the receiver, please select the "Appointment" accessorial and include the appointment reference number and the appointment date and time in the notes of the shipment. Please note that pick-up may be moved to the day of delivery to prevent storage of the freight.
Transit days may be affected depending on appointment availability.
Out-of-network (LTL outside of local zones):
For out-of-network shipments, you may not book your own appointment as these appointments will be set by the LTL partner carrier once the shipment has arrived at the final delivery terminal.
If you would like the LTL partner carrier to set an appointment with the receiver, please select the "Appointment" accessorial and ensure all PO, contact numbers, names and references are noted when booking to ensure timely appointment processing.
Transit days may be affected depending on appointment availability of the carrier.
When selecting the "Residential" accessorial, please note that this type of delivery works similarly to the appointment setting process as delivery must be coordinated with the receiver.
Please be sure to include current phone numbers and email addresses in the shipment notes so our team can effectively coordinate with the receiver.
