Should I print my BOL?
We provide digital bills of lading (BOLs) to all customers through our online dashboard for easy access. For long-haul shipments, BOLs will also be sent via email within 30 minutes of booking. While you may want to print your BOL to have physical documentation, it is not necessary in all cases.
If you've booked a local shipment, you do not need to print your BOL. You can view it directly from your tracking page and the Mothership partner carrier will collect signatures digitally from their mobile device at pick up and delivery. You will receive a digital signed copy along with a proof of delivery (POD) once the delivery is complete.
If you've booked a long-haul shipment, you must print a copy of your BOL and provide it to your carrier upon arrival. We partner with trusted national carriers that require a physical BOL to transport your shipment. Please do not contact Customer Support if your BOL is not generated instantly--BOLs for long-haul shipments are sent via email within 30 minutes of your shipment allocation.
How do I view my BOL?
Once logged in, you can view digital BOLs from either the Tracking page or the Billing page of your dashboard. BOLs from both active and completed shipments can be found in either location. For long-haul shipments, BOLs will also be sent via email within 30 minutes of booking. View an example digital BOL.
Accessing BOL from the tracking page
Once logged in, click Tracking in the left-hand dashboard to navigate to the real-time tracking view. Select the shipment you're interested in or use the search function to find a particular shipment by entering your shipment ID or a keyword associated with your shipment (e.g. business name). Once you find the shipment you're looking for, click it to view the detailed tracking page.
After selecting your shipment, click View BOL in the top-right corner of the additional information page. This will display your digital BOL in a new tab on your web browser.
Accessing BOL from the Billing Page
Once logged in, click Billing in the left-hand dashboard to navigate to the billing view. Find a visible shipment or use the search function to locate a particular shipment by entering your shipment ID or a keyword associated with your shipment (e.g. business name). Once you find the shipment you're looking for, click to view the shipment detail page - you'll be able to download the BOL using a CTA at the bottom of the page.
How do I print my BOL?
If you found your digital BOL through the online dashboard, navigate to the new browser tab to view the digital BOL. You may print it directly from your browser or download it to your computer.
If you booked a long-haul shipment, your BOL will be emailed to you and can be printed directly from your email client.
